For the last couple of years, burgundy gained the status of the new navy. Loved by many designers around the world, the vivid ox blood shade could be spotted in pretty much every clothing shop and footwear one. Some might find it the perfect color to wear during fall, but as a huge fan of red and variations of it, I enjoy wearing burgundy all year round. Now after finding the perfect sky high burgundy pumps, I’ll make sure to wear this hue even more.

With so many burgundy choices around, you might be wondering how to style the popular hue. Technically it can be worn with pretty much everything, but I find it to work best with neutrals, earthy tones and whites. Today I opted for something quite minimal and vintage looking. Paired these flared trousers with a linen tank top which I could finally knot. Tried doing this styling trick so many times before, but I would always fall miserably. Surprisingly, today I managed to do it from the first try, so you can imagine how excited I was. Topped the look with a fitted biker jacket and the Charles & Keith sky high burgundy pumps which brought the outfit together.
