The tie neck blouse trend we all forgot about

Remember the pussy-bow blouses everyone was wearing in 2015? What happened to them? Where did they go? The tie neck blouse trend was a pretty versatile one and it would be such a pity to see it losing popularity over the new dramatic tops. To me, this kind of blouse is a classic which can be worn in multiple ways. Bought it two or three years ago on sales (for like 8$) and been wearing it a lot ever since. It saved me on all those early mornings I had to be ready for university in like 5 minutes. Just throw it on and mix it with some jeans or high waisted trousers and your outfit will look effortless. Since the top makes a statement on its own, you can either keep the rest of the outfit simple or risk a bit and mix it with some other statement pieces.

My outfit is probably somewhere in between and I couldn’t see these (15$) olive trousers paired with anything better. Loved how the colors looked together and decided to compliment the casual attire with some green accessories and statement sunglasses. Sunnies along with graphic tees are a few of my weaknesses, so I couldn’t stop from not getting them. After all, I didn’t own a pair of embellished sunglasses before and these look quite unique. In case you love them too, they can still be found on sale for 17$.

On a different note, what do you do when you feel like you used all the nice backdrops in the city? I have no idea where to shoot anymore, so would love hearing your thoughts on this. Happy Friday everyone! xx

P.S. Don’t be a stranger, let’s connect on Instagram as well.

I hope the pussybow blouse never really goes away. It’s such an effortlessly chic piece, and easy to style, like you said. I love them.

As for backdrops, you could always scout more, or focus on smaller, specific areas with nice patterns, lighting, etc. Maybe try looking for neat interiors? I hope that helps!

    Have a lovely weekend Andreea!

  3. That is a beautiful blouse and I love the olive pants and green accessories with it! I like this style of top but I’ve never found one that looks good on me – I’m petite so most of them look overwhelming on me sadly.

Good luck finding a new background to take photos with – I just take my photos myself with a tripod before we go out for the day so I use the same spot every time, haha!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend 🙂

In love with this styling! I love pussy bow blouses but I feel like they’re kinda too much on the girly side but I love how you don’t look overly girly here. Love the tones in this outfit too. Those shoes really make it wow.
