The best way to wear a gingham wrap top

It is well known that 2016 was all about statement tops. Designers stepped up their game with dramatic shirts featuring cascading ruffles, over exaggerated shoulders, longer and longer sleeves, deconstructed shirts, bold printed wrap tops and many many more jaw dropping styles.

So if you have been paying any attention to the fashion scene in the last couple of months, you could probably notice that blouses had a highly dramatic shift, and the wrap top made no exception. Coming back to the spotlight, wrap tops are incredibly versatile and easy to elevate from day to night. And besides that, this one can also be worn off the shoulders, which basically means you are having two tops in one. Ain’t that cool?

As a huge fan of statement blouses, I had to hop in the wrap top wagon and rock the trend in my own way. Opted for a rock-chic look in which I mixed the dramatic Chicwish gingham shirt with a lace up mini skirt and patent over the knee boots. Added some fishnet tights underneath and layered with a biker jacket. What do you think of statement tops? x
