Goodbye summer, hello fall! I can’t believe the first of September is finally here! I know some of you might not be excited about autumn, but I am the happiest kid when fall is in town. And what better way to welcome fall if not by dusting off this checked suit? Bought it a few months ago and I’ve been dying to wear it. I have a bunch of trousers and blazer, but never had a full suit before. Separates are cool, but it’s good to know you have a good suit you can rely on. Ordered the cropped flares online and unfortunately the blazer was out of stock. A few days later after getting the trousers, I went on a Zara sales hunt and guess what? Found the blazer on rack! It was the last one left and I was lucky enough to find out it was my size. As Mariah Carey would say, we belong together.
Besides loving formal wear, I also have a crush for sneakers. Kicks are probably on top of the list when it comes to shoes I would wear on a daily basis and as you may already know, these Gucci heart embroidered ones hold a special place in my heart. Worn them a lot with skirts, dresses and jeans but never with a suit. So today I thought I should spice things up and mix them in an edgy look. The secret to pulling off sneakers with a suit is picking the right trousers length. In my opinion, cropped trousers work best with kicks. Played with a few pops of red here and there, tucked a coca cola tee in and layered with the double breasted blazer. Finished the look with some statement earrings and oversize sunnies. Would you wear a suit with sneakers?
