September has been such a hot mess when I think back to the constant weather swings. The temperate was up and down, just like a carousel. All those changes made playing dress up quite a challenge during some days. Now when I look back at the fall outfit ideas grid, I can definitely declare that during the chilly days, layering turned into my new best friend.
With the start of October, I have also decided to start pulling together a monthly fall outfit ideas recap. In case you enjoy this type of post, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Actually, I am always excited to hear your feedback.
One thing I have realized while creating this grid was that I am definitely a creature of pleated midi skirts and leather jackets. I used to wear trousers and jeans a loooot, but I have no idea what happened. Most of the month you could see me in a colorful midi, I guess it’s about time to give them a break and head back to trousers for a while. With this in mind, today I will talk a little bit about these two trends that took over my mind and style.
Fall outfit ideas list:
Pleated skirts: without a doubt, I adore them. In fact, they always balance my looks, which tend to have a lot of masculine accents. Besides that, they are really easy to style and can dress them up or down. For instance, with the right pair of shoes, this type of skirt can always take your outfit from day to night. Wear one to the office with a white button down tucked in and a pair of loafers or ankle boots, then change your shoes for the night with a pair of pumps and layer with a leather jacket that will give you the biker babe vibe.
Leather jackets: they never get out of style, so it’s probably best to invest in a good statement one. In fact, you will have it for years. Besides that, leather jackets look good with absolutely everything, can just throw them over your shoulders and you will look instantly 10 times chicer. The good thing is that the market variety is absolutely huge. This type of jacket can be found in so many different colors and styles that you can’t even imagine. Can you guess which are my favorite ones? Without a doubt, the bright and embroidered ones! Now I would love hearing more about your personal style. How can you describe it? What items define your style best? And how do you plan on spending your weekend? x
