In case you haven’t been living at the bottom of the world on a long lost island, without any internet connection, then you probably know that these mules were the hottest shoe style of 2016. First seen at some notorious brands and lately reproduced by high street stores, these mules made the it shoe of 2016.
Androgynous, versatile and comfortable, mules are nowhere to go this year or the next one, nor the next one after the next one and neither in 2340. Why? Because they are oh, so amazing, good looking and easy to style. Now what is there not to love about them? If there was no snow nor rain in Europe, then I’d wear footwear like this all year round. Would even ditch my beloved white kicks for these bad boys.
After seeing them in the Gucci presentation, I knew I’ll have to get my hands on a pair. But as much as I would love buying everything Gucci, this time I had to start searching for a budget friendly option (you know, just to avoid ending up living in a cardboard box on the streets). Found this gorgeous pair on Ego’s website (for £24.99) and I’ve been really happy with the soft texture of their vegan leather and well executed embroidery. Extremely comfortable to walk in, I strolled through the city in this casual Parisian inspired look. The weather was sunny but also windy, so I chose to wear some khaki jogger pants mixed with a sleeveless shirt and a trench coat. Minimal, chic and cosy, that’s how I like starting my weekend. What are your weekend plans? xx
