Denim on denim is one of the trends that has been around for decades and guess what, it wont be going anywhere anytime soon. The first thing that probably comes to your mind when thinking of a double denim look is a big no no, but if the pieces are well chosen, then the outfit can be a total success.
Now after trying the denim on denim trend for the first time, I can’t seem to get enough of it. I am still wondering why I didn’t embrace it by now, but I will definitely experiment some more when the weather will be warmer. In fact, I had a lot of fun pulling this outfit together. And I know, at the first sight it might seem that this look is not winter appropriate, but when you take a second peek you will notice I am wearing a bunch of thin layers. After all, layering is the key to fantastic winter outfits.
But now, how to pull off the denim on denim trend? The answer is simple, by picking two denim pieces in different a shade of blue, or why not blue and white, or whatever you like best. If you stick to this to this trick, then your outfit will look really good. Today I mixed my oversize jacket with a pair of two tone step hemmed jeans, a pinstripe blazer and a navy turtleneck. Accessorized with my favorite things: fur charms, the military hat I can’t stop wearing and a french knotted neck scarf. What do you think? Did you try this trend yet? x
